Human Hair Care

We recommend washing every 7 to 14 wears.

  Washing Tips
  • Before washing, gently detangle your hair starting at the ends and working up using the wide-tooth comb you received from us.
  • Place your hand inside the cap at the crown of the wig and rinse under lukewarm running water, keeping the hair flowing in its natural direction.
  • Gently lather with a small amount of Cairology shampoo, DO NOT RUB hair as it may cause tangles. Rinse with lukewarm water till water runs clear.
  Drying Tips
  • Wrap wig in a towel and pat gently. We recommend micro fiber.
  • We recommend allowing your hair system to dry naturally as often as possible.
  • When using heat always use a heat protectant and start low and slow. Use the “cool shot” button to lock in style.
  Conditioning Tips
  • Apply Conditioner, avoiding the base of the wig or hairpiece (applying conditioner to the base/cap weakens the knots causing hair loss).
  • Using your fingers, work conditioner through mid-shaft and ends for 3-5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly in lukewarm running water until the water runs clear.
  Additional Care & Tips
  • It’s not recommended to wear wig when sleeping.
  • Over time direct sunlight can fade the hair, avoid storing it in sunlight and utilize a UV protectant while outside.
  • Lighter colours are more delicate than darker colours based on processing.
  • Your wig will lose hair over time. This is a natural part of the life cycle.
  • If you wear a wig regularly, try to have least two to choose from, and rotate them to extend their wearable life.

Hair System Care

Adhesives require at least 24 hrs to bond correctly. During this time, don’t get your hair wet and avoid heavy exercise, steam rooms or saunas as it could break down adhesives.

  Washing A Bonded Unit
  • While looking at the ground allow the water to flow from the top of your head down.
  • Don’t apply shampoo directly to the bonded hairpiece. Create a lather in your hands, and wash your piece using an S motion with your fingertips gently washing your hair.
  Rinsing
  • The most important step is to remove all soap residue. If you don’t remove it all properly it will mix together with dust and can cause some serious tangles.
  • Your hair is an investment ensure that your utilizing the right products to care for it. We do have them all on site.
  Conditioning, Drying & Styling
  • Conditioner is meant for the ends of the hair only and must not be used on the base.
  • We recommend air drying whenever possible.
  • Use a wide tooth comb on dry hair.
  Additional Care
  • Wearing hair while sleeping causes friction we recommend a silk or satin pillowcase.
  • Over time direct sunlight can fade the hair, utilize a UV protectant while outside and know we can colour it.
  • Lighter colours are more delicate than dark colours based on processing.
  • Your system will loose hair over time. This is a natural part of the life cycle.

Synthetic Hair Care

We recommend washing every 7 to 14 wears.

  • Mix 1 capful of shampoo with lukewarm water creating a bubble bath and let her soak for 2-5 minutes.
  • NEVER rub or wring your wig. Rinse well in the direction of the hair falling.
  Conditioning Tips
  • Follow the same directions as the shampoo. Rinse if needed.
  Drying Tips
  • Wrap wig in a towel and pat gently.
  • Place on a wig stand and allow to dry completely. If curly you can scrunch and lie it down to dry.
  Additional Care & Tips
  • Daily Revitalizing Mist is our favorite product. Great to keep it looking healthy and to protect if from the sun.
  • Overtime direct sunlight can fade the hair, avoid storing it in sunlight and utilize a UV protectant or wear a UPF rated sunhat to protect her.
  • It’s not recommended to wear wig when sleeping.
  • Any heat can damage the hair.
  • Add texture and volume without weighing down your look with our piece out product.
  • Too shiny try our dry shampoo.
  • If you wear a wig regularly, try to have two to choose from, rotate them to extend their wearable life.

High Heat Hair Care

  Washing Tips
  • Before washing, gently detangle your hair starting at the ends and working up using the wide-tooth comb you received from us.
  • Mix 1 capful of shampoo with lukewarm water creating a bubble bath and let her soak for 2-5 minutes.
  • NEVER rub or wring your wig. Rinse well in the direction of the hair falling.
  Conditioning Tips
  • Follow the same directions as the shampoo. Rinse if needed.
  Drying Tips
  • Wrap wig in a towel and pat gently.
  • Place on a wig stand and allow to dry completely. If curly you can scrunch and lie it down to dry.
  Additional Care
  • Your hair loves heat, and can withstand heat up to 360° F, however we recommend low and slow to start.
  • When applying heat always apply the heat treat thermal spray 1-2 pumps per section.
  • Overtime direct sunlight can fade the hair, avoid storing it in sunlight and utilize a UV protectant while outside.
  • Curls need to cool set for 5 min.
  • Apply our Anti-static spray as needed.
  • If you wear a wig regularly, try to have least two to choose from, and rotate them to extend their wearable life.

With time a wig or hair piece will frizz from body heat and usage, even if perfectly cared for.
